WHAT IS PILATES?
-
ORIGIN OF PILATES
Pilates combines breath, movement, and proper body mechanics to enhance physical and mental awareness of how the body moves and feels.
Joseph Pilates invented the practice during WWI to help rehabilitate injured soldiers and originally called his method 'contrology' because it's all about concentration, control, and precision.
-
PILATES FOR EVERYONE
Pilates exercises can be modified to suit people of all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. It's also suitable for different ages and physical conditions.
